How do we find our way to the poems we are called to write in these challenging times?

How do we find poetic language to express ourselves without just preaching to the choir, using the same political slogans we hear at rallies and demonstrations, or read on the Op-Ed page?

As Toni Morrison said,

“This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal."

Let's write, talk and make art together. This will not be a place for venting about the current state of affairs in our country. It will be a place where we discuss poetic strategies, read good poems, write, and share.
